We are currently undergoing some big and exciting changes behind the scenes here at Bike Wheels, and we can't wait to share them with you!
Stay tuned for a massive relaunch in the coming weeks!
The goal that I have set myself for this year is to be able to ride all the way to work (33km) and all the way home again (another 33km)...and if I am able to achieve that to be able to do it at least twice a week. So far I have been making good progress!
You wouldn't believe it but bike riding puts money in my pocket each and every single week. Because I ride my bike to work each day, it saves me a small fortune in petrol each week. Not only that, but when you start factoring in wear and tear on the car it really starts to add up to some significant figures!
One of the often overlooked benefits to regular bike riding is how easy it is to lose weight and keep it off. We all need to exercise, but in this busy world it is often hard to find the time to go to the gym and work out.
When you a riding a bike and pushing yourself to sprint up a hill or make a corner without slowing down you don't have much of an opportunity to think about anything else that what you are doing at that very moment. Cycling forces you to be in the moment from start to finish.
Most of my days are spent working behind a desk using a computer. While I do enjoy what I do for a living, I still look forward to riding my bike each and every day. I ride to work in the morning and it helps me to get my thoughts straight for the day.
One thing that I love about being able to go for a ride on my bike is being able to go anywhere that I please. In a car we are a little more constrained on where we can go than when we travel by bike.
Love a bargain? We do to!
That's why, in celebration of the end of the financial year, we are having a clearance sale and giving you a MASSIVE 30% off select wheels and tyres until 21 June 2017.
Anyone who is into cycling knows just how awesome it is to get on your bike and go for a ride. No matter the discipline, cycling is down right a lot of fun.
The last thing you need interrupting your bike ride is a component failure. Who wants to stop in the middle of nowhere and fiddle with tools on the side of the road while your friends begrudgingly wait for you to clumsily MacGyver a fix with duct tape?
